Well..it's not currently happening HERE in New York, and I don't think it's officially happening anywhere else.
Partly, though the way education in the US is decentralized makes it difficult to tell. For example, there's a statewide curriculum here in New York (and that's just one of the 50 states) and then within New York, there are different quasi-independent school districts with differing policies.
Some, yeah. It depends on the school system and location.
Kansas is perhaps the most shining example (she said sarcastically).
The high school I attended -- senior year biology class taught creationism in the same unit with evolution and required all students to take sides in a public in-class debate between the two. (Some students got to pick, some were assigned the side they had to defend. I was one of the latter.)
