I don't often push my museum's wares in my posts on the Net. Some of our shows are too art-oriented to appeal to many, others are not worth talking about. Today, however, we have Entertaining America: Jews, Movies, and Broadcasting. It's a somewhat irreverent, definitely intelligent selective look at the role Jews have played over the past century in film, radio and TV. It's not the end-all and be-all on the topic- while Danny Kaye is prominently mentioned in the accompanying catalogue, he's not in the show; and Woody Allen's career is barely a footnote - this show is fun. We don't often have fun shows here, but when we do, it's worth noting.
