Tooting The Jewish Museum's Horn

I don't often push my museum's wares in my posts on the Net. Some of our shows are too art-oriented to appeal to many, others are not worth talking about. Today, however, we have Entertaining America: Jews, Movies, and Broadcasting. It's a somewhat irreverent, definitely intelligent selective look at the role Jews have played over the past century in film, radio and TV. It's not the end-all and be-all on the topic- while Danny Kaye is prominently mentioned in the accompanying catalogue, he's not in the show; and Woody Allen's career is barely a footnote - this show is fun. We don't often have fun shows here, but when we do, it's worth noting.
Here's a link to the website for the exhibition:

And here is a shortcut to a page about our salute to the Marx Brothers. You'll see a photo of 16 Groucho impersonators. Look at the man at the lower left. He bears a startling resemblance (IMHO) to Dave Weingart.

Enjoy the website, and let me know if you come to see the show. It's nice to have feedback, positive or negative.
