We are a bit behind on Lost, having missed last week's episode and then having caught up thanks to it being repeated last night.

Whoa. That was something.

Anyway, here is my thought for today...

Mr. Eko, at the beginning, muses about Aaron and Moses. About how Aaron had to speak for Moses. In a sense, Aaron was Moses' echo. Just as Mr. Eko seems to have taken his younger brother's place as a priest.

Is there another show with more subtext, more use of literary reference, and with a better cast? I think Veronica Mars is a tiny bit better, if only because we do get answers and complete stories there. But Lost is more ambitious, with the most amazing production values thrown in for good measure. And if it gets a touch frustrating, so be it.

On to the the next episode!

And did you see the "Next week on lost" teasers where it shows Aaron's cradle drifiting out into the ocean? I was beside myself with some emotion, thinking of Moses being put into the basket and set on the water.

Anyway... yes the literary references are high on my list of happiness with this show.
