What Are YOU Doing This Sunday?

sdelmonteThis Sunday presents an interesting choice of free cultural activities in NYC.
At Bryant Park, we get The Great Read, the Not Actually New York Book Country substitute being offered by the NY Times. It runs from 9 am to 6 pm, and will include a good number of noted authors either signing books or doing writers' panels. The one name that tempts me is Donald Westlake, who will be speaking at 1 pm. The array of writers is smaller than NYIBC had, but so is the space. There will also be a lot of used booksellers there, and that tempts me even more, though I can't afford much.
At Fort Tryon Park, it's the annual renaissance fair from 12 noon to 6 pm. A quick look at their website indicates that most of what will be going on there is the same as it's been in recent years, but it also looks like there will be a notable SCA presence.
Because it's twice as far by mass transit to Fort Tryon Park, and and because I found last year's ren fair a bit too familiar - and because Monday night is Rosh Hashanah and we need to get home at a reasonable hour to do some cleaning before the holiday - I am more likely to go to the book fair.
Who else is likely to go to the book fair? Who is planning to go to the ren fair? I'd like to know, so we can plan or adjust plans accordingly.
