- You know you are tired when, while reading a book about Lincoln, you read that Lincoln held a meeting with Senator Charles Schumer (instead of Sumner).

- You know you take your work as head of your synagogue's kiddush committee too seriously when you dream that this week's kiddush is a mess, and that you forgot to check the settings on the hot box.

- Finally read Fahrenheit 451. To my surprise, I found it to be rather dull. While Bradbury got a lot right about society and technology, the book left me cold.

- Watched the debut of the WB's Supernatural. Not bad. It could develop into something interesting. We shall see.

- Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mabfan, we been found our way to watch the new Doctor Who series. We've watched the first five episodes. And we love it. It's not perfect, with a little too much of the goofiness that makes the old show a little hard to explain. But Christopher Eccleston is nearly perfect as the ninth Doctor, Billie Piper is on her way to being one of the best companions ever, and the dynamic between the two is amazing. What's most telling is that Batya has barely any knowledge of the old show, and loves the new; I am a big fan of the old show and I love the new. That is a sign of success.

- Two weeks to Serenity. And the first ad I've seen on TV was rather lame. Don't let the commercial fool you if you never saw the show. The movie is good.

Precisely the same for me and ACat.

John and I both had limited experience with the old "Doctor Who" and we liked the new Who first season a lot.

Yay, "Serenity". Bring it on. But first "Corpse Bride" next weekend. Yay for Tim Burton movies, too.

Hmm. Can I score those AVIs off you?

I watched the first one on the plane from London, but I want more (and [livejournal.com profile] drcpunk didn't see even that much).

You're welcome for my help finding the episodes! I love the show, and can't wait for a licensed DVD release here in the States.

Have you seen "Father's Day" yet? My favorite of the new series.
