No Olympics for NYC?

sdelmonteI say hooray! I dislike the IOC. I dislike the jingoism. I dislike the commericialism. I hate the amount of money cities are expected to spend on limited use facilities. I despised the plans for Flushing Meadows Park. I hated the idea of two weeks of pereptual traffic and security checks that would have made the nonsense of last year's Republican convention look tame.
I am very relieved. And I think many New Yorkers feel this way, even if most also would have cheered NYC getting the games.
