What's Up

Hi all.

Figured I would just say hi to the screaming masses demanding more of my posts.

Barring their existence, here's what's up with me...

1) The new place in 75% shipshape. Meaning we still have: books to sort and stack and shelf; some stuff to organize better in the kitchen; things to buy, large and small. But it's starting to feel like home. If only the heat were lower, and less dry.

2) Work promises to be maddening this week. And next. And for a while. A new show (about Jewish women and their salons) opens next week. Another one (about Maurice Sendak) opens six weeks later. It's budget projections time. So many irons in the fire, so little time. And we spent the day at work Friday doing nothing we were hoping to.

3) Lunacon is coming, and I am NOT running the Kosher Konspiracy. Really. I am only hoping to get the ball rolling. But if you are hoping to come and want to be part of Konspiracy, let me know if you haven't.

4) So, if you know Batya, you must know about Milliways, the oddball bring-your-own-fictional character RPG that uses LiveJournal. Well, guess what? After months of resisting and months more of hesistant play, I'm hooked. Lord help me.

But it's lots of fun, a great way to blow off steam and to be creative. It forces me to write dialogue - my biggest shortcoming as a writer - and it's fun. Which isn't to say that I think anyone else shuld join unless they want to use up all their remaining spare time.

I play Barry Allen, the Silver Age Flash. Yup, playing the hero again, and the squarest of heroes at that. But it suits me. It took a while, but Barry has some plots going, a couple linked to other DC characters. No, this isn't writing a comic book, but it might be as close as I ever come.

5) Still watching Veronica Mars. Why arn't you watching, too?

Still watching Lost. Did anyone else catch that laast wek's ep was written by Drew Goddard, yet another Buffy/Angel veteran?

6) That's all for now. Have a good one, and enjoy the long weekend.

Lost was good this week.

I am judging Lost on a week-to-week basis since tv shows expire so easily these days and Lost watch a precarious line between good and losing all sense of credulity. But right now? Still good. Will I watch next season? Depends how the rest of this seasons plays out.

Yep, I'm a shell-shocked tv viewer.

Because shows I watch and love get canceled fairly quickly, and [livejournal.com profile] cadhla would kill me if I managed to do that to VM. :)
