Life on Mars?

Is it possible that microscopic life exists on Mars today? Two scientists from NASA think so, and have submitted a paper to Nature's peer review board for publication in May.

If this clears review, this is likely to be a huge science story, the kind that newspapers famous for ignoring science will cover. Of course, the evidence is still circumstantial and the paper could be rejected.
