Two years ago, I posted a list of all the people I wanted to express gratitude to. Last year, I linked to that post. This year, I'm updating the list.

So here's to all the following, as we give thanks yet again...

So thanks to...

- Mark Waid, Bill Willingham, Peter David, Kurt Busiek, Geoff Johns, and Brian K. Vaughan, for writing such wonderful comics and for also being receptive to the fans.

- Joss Whedon, for eight years of Buffy/Angel, 13 weeks and one upcoming film of Firefly, six months of X-Men, and so much more.

- JJ Abrams, for "Lost" and for making me think there is hope yet for network TV

- Terry Pratchett, for Discworld

- Donald Westlake, for Parker and Dortmunder

- Colin Dexter, for Morse

- Stephen King, for Jack Swayer, Roland of Gilead, and 800 page books worth reading

- The gang on the Tony's Online Tips message board. Not once did the debates about the recent elections ever break down into diatribe and rancor. Where else on the net is that the case?

- The good people at LiveJournal, for this wonderful site, and for letting the wacky RPG subsection called Milliways spring to life

- You, the users, posters, commenters and readers at LJ, who expand my horizons, listen to my complaints, share their observations, and make the journey easier

- The folks at The Jewish Museum, for making life a bit too interesting sometimes, but also for giving me a job that - no matter how much I complain - I still love

- The filk community, my home away from home at some of the best cons anywhere, for putting music in my life time and again

- Rabbi Moshe Rosenberg, my rabbi, for still doing exactly what a rabbi should do in a way that makes me a better Jew and a better person without making me feel like he ever thinks he's better than his congregants just because he's a rabbi. (And for quoting Shakespeare in his sermon last week.)

- My cohorts on the kiddush committee, Eytan the Catering Dwarf and Yair the Tall. They've taught me a lot about how to run a kitchen, but they are also just good guys and good friends.

- The Dreamer Clan, still crazy after all these years

- My second family, all those Levins and Gallers, the family I married into and that has made me and all of my original family feel welcome from the beginning, for being my family

- My first family, for being my family

- The clones, for being there and letting us be there, and for the joy in seeing you and the rest of Lady Mondegreen become a smash hit.

- Sarah Cole, for all the times we've been there for each other these past eight years, even as life has taken us to places we never thought we'd be.

- Batya, for being Batya

- And last and certainly not least, God Himself, for all the usual things He does that I am grateful for, and for the auto accident my mother and cousin were in that could have been much, much worse but was just a fender bender.

May all out there have a joyous and relaxing Thanksgiving.
