As many of you may have heard, I recently had surgery. While I am going to spare you the details, it was for a minor ailment and was outpaitient.

But it still required general anestethia and cutting holes in me, and I am thus still bushed. Never been home sick this long before, and find it surprising just how much a littel surgery takes out of you.

Thus I am home, recuperating, reading and logging on and off sporadically and watching DVDs. I have determined that "The Dark Half" is not one Stephen King's better books, that Kevin Smith's commentaries in the Clerks cartoon are very good, and that "Patton" is still one of the greatest films ever made.

Prepare to take off the entire week. When I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee 7 years ago, the surgery was on a Tuesday, and I was still groggy on Friday. I tried to return to work the following week, bu I only stayed for about 4 hours each day.

At least you're doing thing to keep your mind occupied. I wish you well in your healing.

Much sympathy, and I hope you feel better fast. At least Doom 3 is out now, and apparently Darby O'Gill And The Little People comes out on DVD today.

General anesthesia - yuck. I had it twice and all I can say is I hope your experiences were better than mine. Take it easy and make sure to milk the situation for maximum pampering :)

Ugh. Hope your recuperation is going okay. (I like very little of King's work written after/including "Pet Sematery," except for his work with other authors and the "Dark Tower" series. Meh.)

Glad you're feeling better. If you want any books, well, you know. (Like asking the tree for a leaf :)

if you talk about DC Comics, you will catch my ear and hear me speak.

So which is better? Watchmen or The Dark Night Returns?
