One Thought About Deflategate
May. 11th, 2015 07:13 pmThe level of sportswriting on this story, regardless of whether the writer agrees with the report or doesn't, has been awful. The same people who were really grasping the nuances of why domestic abuse and child abuse cannot be tolerated don't have a clue, even when I agree with them.
But given that at some level the whole story is absurd, why should the writing on the topic be any better?
(FWIW, I think Brady is getting what he deserves, but I tend to be something of a moralist about people who break rules. Unless I think the rules are stupid. Good thing I am not a sportswriter.)
