sdelmonteSo let's start with this: nothing seems to be seriously wrong.
But I spent a good chunk of the day at the ER at Mount Sinai. On my way to work, I suddenly broke out in a cold sweat and nearly fainted. I was able to get to the office without further incident, but after speaking to a nurse at my insurance company, I had the museum's security staff call an ambulance. You don't take chances with these symptoms.
As noted, the docs didn't find anything serious, and just chalked it up to the body reaction to some sort of external stress or stimulus. Given that it's been a stressful stretch on a number of fronts, that makes a little sense. They suggest a more thorough check-up, and I plan to do that soon.
Right now, I am just tired and a bit shaky. Hopefully, a restful afternoon at home will help and I can bounce back. And get ready for Contata this weekend.
Also, Mount Sinai has a better ER than NYHQ. If you need to go to an ER, you can do worse than Mount Sinai. They have free wifi.
