He's in the second season of The Hour, which I refuse to acknowledge exists because of shipping reasons that have nothing to do with how good he is in it, which is very good.
He's actually been on the show before. He was in "The Fires of Pompeii" as the father, and he was on Torchwood as John Frobisher in "Children of Earth". He's a brilliant actor, really, he's done all kinds of things. I am beyond thrilled--when his name got floated around I thought he'd be perfect, but doubted it'd happen, but here we go. I love that they went with someone older--as my husband pointed out, he's the same age William Hartnell was when he was cast. I think he's a wonderful choice.
