sdelmonteSo you know Doctor Who has finally made it big in the US when the departure of Matt Smith makes the news here.
I can't say I am totally surprised Matt is going. But it did seem like he was committed to a fourth year. And I will miss him. He made the part his own while doing more than Eccleston and Tennant to use parts of the classic Doctors in his portrayal. He will be yet another hard act to follow.
I wonder if the announcement of the new Doctor will be big news here too.

Date: Jun. 3rd, 2013 07:24 am (UTC)Now I am all depressed. Matt was my favorite nu!Doctor because of the reasons you stated above and because I was so done with the emo of 10. I highly doubt 12 will give us the same level of humor and heart.
BUT, we shall see! One of the great things about the Doctor is that he's always regenerating.
