sdelmonte | Goodbye Rory and Amy

Finally watched "Angels Take Manhattan." Lord, what a mess. Not a terrible episode, but a mess that was not the sort of farewell I was hoping to see for Rory and Amy. But they get some good moments. I will miss them. A lot. Especially Rory, who was a male character more concerned with saving lives than taking them (most of the time). As someone who is not badass in any way, shape or form, I appreciated seeing a man in pop culture who was a nurturer instead of a fighter. And Amy was just what this show and this Doctor needed.

Here's hoping the next companion follows well in the footsteps of the Ponds, and Donna, and Martha, and Rose. And that the rest of the season is less disjointed than it's been so far.
