Update on Batya (and Me)

So I think that many, if not most, of you saw Batya's post about how she got stuck at OVFF when her flight got cancelled due to the storm.  And how she got a ride back east with two other filkers.

She just called and wanted me to let everyone know that they have made it about the 135 mile marker on I-80 in Pennsylvania.  They plan to stop for the night around 6 pm, and have taken a route that curved away some from the storm.  If she can access the internet from her hotel, or from a smartphone, she might check in later.  But she wants me to let everyone know she is doing okay so far.

As for me, I am pretty much okay as well, hunkered down at home, worrying about Batya and everyone else affected more than I am, and watching random things on Netflix.  I don't really mind a day off with nothing to do, but I don't think I wanted one this way!

More to come as events do or don't warrant.  Hope everyone is keeping safe and dry, too.

I'm thinking about you both. The storm's just beginning to get seriously windy here in Philadelphia. If we have power by 6 PM I'll be surprised.

Fortunately, NYC has most of its power lines underground, so we tend to stay well lit except in heat waves.
