Of course, this means that Nick Fury is an even bigger bastitch than I thought.

I had never any doubt of that, was even spoiled for it before I saw the movie; and I guess that 99% of fandom thought so, too. But it's very eating to see we were actually right about this, and the Powers That Be meant it that way...

Thing is, though, that Joss usually kills them for good. Even if comics don't.

I guess that's why Joss put in all those get-out points, I guess, and always stressed it was Marvel's idea, not his own, to kill Coulson. Because he wouldn't kill a character insufficiently dead, and washes his hands of that sort of comic book trick?
