Arrow Debuts
Oct. 10th, 2012 08:58 pmAnd it's an odd one. Dark almost to the point of gothic. Clearly influenced by the Nolan Batman films, but a very different animal. The characters are of course familiar, except for the totally new ones. It's a mix that worked well enough for a pilot, that could turn into something good, or could fall apart like wet newsprint. The cast is pretty good, and the action is really well done.
It's worth a second look, but it's not an immediate success. At the very least, my fears that the writers would do as poorly on TV with Ollie as they did in the comics were not met.
And the costume is very effective.
More to come.
