Has this happened to anyone else in the Internet Age?  You look up times for a movie, and go to the theater, only to find that the online listings for the theater are completely wrong.  And the clerk in the box office doesn't care.  They don't post those times, so it's not their problem.

The theater in question is a bottom rung moviehouse, owned by a small company.  The tickets are cheap, but the theaters are tiny and grimy.  And you can't buy a ticket online with any service.  Till now, though, the online schedule has been more or less accurate.  Today, it was wrong by a magnitude of 45 minutes.

I think I will not be going to this theater again any time soon.  Not unless I also have the time to go look at the schedule in person first.  (I could call, but the tape for the theater takes forever to get to the point.)

But I wonder...are there any other theaters in the US that ignore the Internet?  And how on Earth can any theater do so?  (I can't imagine I am the only moviegoer who missed start time and went away.)

That's actually quite common! I'm not sure if it's the company ignoring the internet, miscommunication within the company or the company letting someone else handle the internet stuff without realizing they're utterly incompetent, or someone doing that without the company's knowledge. I know that you can find all sorts of inaccurate information about a retail location on the internet, like what its hours are or even if it actually exists, so!
