We have a great new exhibition opening today, The Radical Camera: New York's Photo League, 1936-1951. It's got over 145 photos taken during the Great Depression, WWII, and the first years of the Cold War, by such names as Weegee, Aaron Siskind, Berenice Abbott, and Lisette Model. The show captures an era very much like our own, and a city both long gone and still with us.

For some really cool slideshows of works on view - and some really good interviews with surviving members of the Photo League, try WNYC's Fishko Files, NPR's Picture Show, and The New York Times' Lens blog.
