The New 52 - Week Two

Probably no time for a long post about the comics I got this week. But I bought six, and all of them were at least readable. Batman and Robin is very promising, with great interactions between the title characters. Resurrection Man is twisted and creepy and oddly engaging. Demon Knights is a bit jumbled but looks like it will be a hoot. Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE, is downright weird and wacky and feels like a mix of the late, lamented Xombi and the warped SHIELD comics by Sterkano. Legion Lost is the weakest of the bunch, but I think the plot is interesting (though the heroes are a bit bland).
And Green Lantern is...well, the same series I've come to love, just with a new number on the cover. It's also the only one I read this week that isn't new reader friendly. The rest really seem accessible.
All in all, DC is doing better than I expected.
Best first issue of the week, though, is Buffy Season 9. Hard to beat Joss when he's on his game. And he is. (And to be a completist, I also bought Dollhouse, which is really good but issue 3 and therefore outside the discussion of this series of posts.)
