And also a hero. And also someone who really needs to loosen up. It's been a lot of fun getting them to be friends, even though he really doesn't get her.
3. I have built in, mainly in his conversations, that he and Ted Kord were buds of a sort. This was something that DC never quite made work, but that I think is a great idea. Two guys with no powers, comparing notes and trying to figure out just how you can survive as a hero (alas, they couldn't.)
4. Charlie doesn't do that much off-screen. I think, though, he is learning to swim better and seeing how long he can hold his breath. MAybe I should do that on-screen.
5. Really, can I possibly top his actual last words?
6. He's currently in the Boo Plot, and finding for the first time in a while his love of righting wrongs. Should really build on that.
7. I am looking forward to having him meet with Renee as she moves through canon. But he needs to talk with Dinah more as well.

I found that it was a surprisingly easy relationship to play out, even though Gibbs is a bit of a misogynist. And I love the bond he has with Mal Reynolds, two old soldiers turned pirate.
3. I haven't had a lot of chance to develop Gibbs onscreen, but I've fleshed out his large family, some of whom never leave his birthplace of Bristol, some of whom head to sea as well. He's got a brother in Philadelphia is surprisingly respectable and destined to serve as a naval man under Washington.
4. Gibbs was last seen helping the crew of his current ship, the Empress, navigate the vicissitudes of a tropical storm.
5. At this point, I just need to play him more. He's been laying fallow for too long.
