So some of you know that Batya and I weren't sure about making it to Concertino (the Northeast Floating Filk Con). Our lives have been really busy (in a good way, but still busy) and it didn't seem like we'd have the time. Lo and behold, things have calmed just enough that we can get away. Thus if you are going to be at the con, we will get to see you and to sing with you after all. Hooray!

We are coming up by bus tomorrow. Never did this before, so I am a little nervous. Does anyone have any advice for taking a Peter Pan bus (with a Greyhound ticket) from the Port Authority? I've seen a few things online that suggest it can be iffy, and I'd like to minimize that. Thanks.

Have fun at the con! Musical weekends for both of us, though mine's a bit more mainstream, and close to your home rather than close to mine.

Get to the bus early is my only advice. It's been a few years since I've take a long distance bus, so I don't have anything more specific.

The buses are on a schedule. It's the same company, so either bus will take either ticket, at any time, provided you're near the front of the line and get on the bus. However, if you want to be sure of being on PP bus instead of a G bus you need to consult the schedule to see where it indicates that you are in fact getting the more comfortable, movie equipped bus.

Movies are sadly mandatory, so bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear it or sit away from the TV. On the other hand I've seen a few good movies that way.
