Two Things
Nov. 24th, 2008 09:41 am1. I am going on out on a limb and declaring the total supremacy of New York pro football. The Jets are 8-3, the Giants 10-1, the two teams to be going to the playoffs at the same time(for only the 6th team), and the notion of a Jets-Giants Super Bowl is, possibly for the first time, not so outlandish.
Having said this, I am probably cursing at least one team.
2. Got caught up on the train wreck of a TV show that is Heroes. On a show with so many good actors, how on Earth did we get stuck with lousy Robert Forester as the totally dopey and uninteresting Arthur Petrelli. It's the perfect confluence of bad with bad.
The Ten Year Old Hiro thing is pretty dopey, too, but give Masi Oka and James Kyson Lee for making it more fun than it should be. And I have to say that I loved Hiro's reaction to what's happened to Marvel's heroes since he was ten. "The Hulk is Red?" is particularly funny because that writer who did that is former Heroes producer Jeph Loeb. It's also ironic given that Hiro isn't the only one who isn't keen on this development.
