sdelmonteFor the record, I am now 40. It doesn't seem any different than being 39. I have nothing profound to say about this matter. But given how many people have treated the passage of time as a cause for much navel-gazing, I thought I'd note this fact.

Sunday: a nephew's birthday. Also would have been the 100th birthday of my sister-in-law's grandfather.
Today: Birthday of a very close friend and of another filker.
And the 22nd would have been my grandmother's centennial birthday.
