OVFF Notes
Oct. 26th, 2008 10:02 amIt's been a stellar con, as usual. The concerts were all great (though the sound for the Tim and Annie Walker concert needed a bit of adjusting, HMS).
The Interfilk auction raised over $2,000, including a rather high bidding war for an NYC housefilk CD created for Contata guests that was recorded in part in our apartment. Makes me wonder if I should rent my living room as a studio. Or maybe people would want to buy tapes of Season 1 of Heroes since I also recorded those in my living room. :)
The open filks I was at Friday and Saturday nights were awesome, and I can say that I got to hear at least one song from everyone I wanted to hear, and a few from people I should have heard sooner.
There was a hysterical game of Whose Line Is It Anyway with Tom Smith as host, Dr. MAry Crowell on keyboard, and Seanan McGuire, Brooke Louderville, Interfilk gurst Sibylle Machat, and Sutton fella cracking the whole place up. One million points to everyone.
That's all for now. Still to come: the ever-awesome closing jam!!
