Saw the trailer for The Goddamn Frank Miller's film based on The Spirit.

I cannot begin to tell you how wrong it looks. As a movie and as an adaptation. Has Miller read a single issue of the comics? He didn't even get the mask right.

Man, I thought it looked completely awful, and that's not even knowing Will Eisner's Spirit. As a movie? It didn't even look interesting. I just sort of stared at the screen. I think it was honestly one of the worst trailers I've ever seen.

It reminded me of the worst possible scenes from the James Bond films, only with a nebbish in a bad mask instead of Roger Moore. And with Samuel L. Jackson looking like he's playing a parody of himself.

When I heard Frank Miller was doing The Spirit, well, I didn't actually burst into tears of despair, but it was a near thing. Many people think he can do no wrong, but I'm not one of them.

Have no idea where Miller even came up with that.
