Meet the Mess
Jun. 17th, 2008 08:58 amThe Mets fired their manager, Willie Randolph, at 3:15 am New York time (12:15 in Anaheim, where they are playing). There's a report they did it be text message. And even if you think Willie was not doing a good job (which I don't, alas), there are much better ways to fire a manager.
My beloved Mets are not just a mess on the field. They are an embarrassment off the field to boot. When did they become Steinbrenner's 1980s Yankees? Or worse, the Knicks?
Not fun at all.
