You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Gotta say, though, I think most of this isn't going to be news...
1. First Name: Alex. Not in the least a secret these days.
2. Age: 39, and proud of it!
3. Location: Kew Gardens Hills, borough of Queens, New York City, New York, USA, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way
4. Occupation: Communications Coordinator at New York's Jewish Museum.
5. Partner: That would be my wonderful wife Batya, who I married just over nine years ago.
6. Kids: Not yet, but someday...
7. Brothers/Sisters: One brother, 2 1/2 years my junior.
8. Pets: None at the moment, though I have the sense that is going to change someday.
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
a. Being honored at my synagogue's annual dinner in three days.
b. Helping run a filk con in a week.
c. Trying very hard not to give up hope for my beloved, befuddling New York Mets.
10. Parents: My father passed on when I was nearly 3. My mother is alive and well and lives two doors down from us.
11. Who are some of your closest friends? My closest friend is the woman who introduced me and Batya. We don't get to see each other that often, but she's still the person outside of Batya I trust the most. A lot of you are also among my closest friends - you know who you are. I'd say I'm blessed with more and better friends now that I ever thought I could have.
