filkertom) blew out his left quad, needed surgery, and will be off his feet for a good long while. (Details can be found on his blog.) I join with the rest of the filk world in sending Tom my best wishes for a fast and pain-free recovery.
Needless to say, Tom will not be able to make it to serve as toastmaster at Contata next week. The concom is working to fill the void as best as we can, and we will keep everyone posted when we have further announcements.
More importantly, though, Rob Balder is spearheading an effort to create a special CD to help raise funds to cover Tom's medical costs. Please go for details about this project. The CD will be available at Contata.
