As for the problem of people beating me to it -- that particular wailing post was about original/historical fiction (I find historical fiction a lot like fanfic or RPage, as there is a canon to stick to, a canon pieced together from research) where somebody beat me to something I had been working on, off and on, for years. I may have gone, occasionally, 'I would have loved to play them, but I didn't apply them, so I will have to send my charries to meet them instead'. Al from 'Quantum Leap' is such a character, for example. But he is much fun to thread with, so in the final analysis, I do not wish I had played him, after all.-

Pho, is the short answer for the Milliways question. She and I went to the same undergrad, and we shared a mutual friend who had both of us friended on LJ. Once I friended her there at random, and she mentioned Milliways and how she started to play Wash. I asked her who was left unclaimed in Firefly canon and that was it.

Well, except for that part where I had actually written a Book app first, but whatever.

Did you try the Old Bay at all? You won't hurt my feelings, I promise.
