Sweeney Todd

So, I have at last seen the Sweeney Todd trailer. I am not familiar with the original, only with Burton and Depp. Judged by the look, and the director, and the cast, I suspect this film will be worth seeing just for the pieces Burton and Depp and Carter and Rickman bring. But as to whether it works as a whole, I really can't say. There is nothing that says it's going to be much of a musical, or that Sondheim's style will be able to climb over Burton's.

But I do think I will want to see this on the big screen.
