Flash 234 - More of the same. There's some decent stuff here, but the kids just aren't doing it for me. The pacing and the storytelling are just not quite right. Worth reading mainly for the charming back-up story and the two page tribute to the late Mike Wieringo.
Detective Comics 838 - It's more the Resurrection of Ra's. And lord, it's dull. Bad art and a cliched story take one of the great villains and make him quite tepid. And even Dini, stuck in the middle of this lemon of a crossover, cannot save it. I will be skipping the rest of this event.
The Spirit 11 - The big showdown between the Spirit and El Morte, a month late for a Halloween issue but otherwise amazing. I suspect that in years to come, Cooke's single year with Denny Colt and friends will be regarded as a high point for DC.
