I Liked Heroes

I don't have time to post a long review, and I think that if I do, it will all come apart. But since I go out of my way to criticize Heroes, it's only fair that I say when I like it.

No, it wasn't perfect, but the two main stories of the night worked for me. The acting - especially that of Jack Coleman - was great. Heck, we finally got to see Kristen Bell acting again and not just vamping (and lord, I've missed that). The pacing was actually good. And while I don't know if I like the ending, what led up to it actually really got me interested.

And for once, I liked the script. HRG was very well written, as was Matt (who got off a great zinger at the expense of the FBI). And the scenes with Hiro...I missed him in our time more than I thought.

Is the show cured of its ills. Nope. I think that the Big Story is still a mess. But after the day I had, I was ready for another night of nitpicking and I got something I liked. I am not unhappy.

I agree with you mostly, but I am worried that there are only two episodes left and there are so many loose ends.

But yes I was happy that they forward two of the more interesting plots. I love Hiro, have since I first saw him, he is the reason that I wanted to watch the show.

I have to admit, I liked it too. I would've liked it a LOT less if HRG had stayed dead; for all his moral ambiguity, I've gotten to like the guy. Now let's hope Claire and her mom and brother get the news that Dad isn't dead after all quickly...and I can't wait to see what price Bob extracts for resurrecting Noah with his own daughter's blood!

I enjoyed it as well. I didn't see any of the twists coming.
