Quick Heroes Thoughts
Oct. 24th, 2007 09:27 amCould go into great detail, but haven't the time.
SPOILERS! I miss the big story idea that held the show together last season. Right now, it's just a bunch of stories that might come together but that don't really complement each other.
You know that something's wrong when Kristen Bell seems to be falling back on all her mannerisms and speech patterns from her last role. But I felt like I was watching an evil Veronica, and not a new character. I blame the pedestrian script and the endless cliches of the Amnesiac Peter in Cork arc. Still, I have to ask if anyone else pictured an evil Keith Mars at the other end of the phone call?
Enjoying the adventures of Matt the Overwhelmed, but Teh Stupid of both he and Nathan not taking every precaution with Nightmare Maury almost ruined what was otherwise a very well-shot sequence.
Can Hiro come home now?
Loving Micah and Monica. Will we get to see someone with super-powers embrace her inner hero in a way that even Hiro and Claire haven't?
Oh look, it's Nikki. Yawn. Some people improve every scene they're in. Adrian Pasdar and Jack Coleman do. Ali Larter is the opposite.

It turned out that the Hulk side of Bruce Banner was another personality, one of many. And PAD and other writers went on to establish that all the powers caused by gamma rays manifest based on the victim's psyche. She-Hulk is the more outgoing side of the mousy Jennifer Walters, the Leader is super-smart because his human self was not, and so on.

Date: Oct. 24th, 2007 05:59 pm (UTC)I agree with you on most of this, though something you didn't mention was the wonder twins in Mexico which has me wondering what is the point. And what is with Silar, we have a bigger bad this season so why throw him in the mix?
Oh I love that Peter can acess all the powers now that he isn't getting in his own way.
That is my take on it at anyrate.
