Booster Gold 3 - Booster and Rip talk to Daniel, who has no clue who stole the Supernova suit and even less clue how to talk to the woman destined to be his wife. After that, it's off to the old west, where Booster has to prevent a chain of events that kills Superman. A chain that leads to Jonah Hex, and a drinking competition. Really. it's Booster, drunk and a bit silly and a bit sad. Ever wonder where the cape went back at the start of Booster's career? He tells all.
And just when things seem to be going Booster's way, the time bubble rear-ends the Cosmic Treadmill. Really. Next month: Barry and Wally!
Fun, lightweight, silly, and showing only a little hint that this comic will be more than merely fun. Not that fun isn't really needed, but I do hope we get the substance more broadly hinted at in the first issue.
Runaways 28 - It's been three months since the last issue, and I cant remember much of what happened before. Which is not good as Joss seems to be doing a lot here. Or at least using a lot of characters, half of whom are new and I can't recall, either. Some good moments with some of the cast, mixed with some things that are just weird. Like what seem to be some sort of costumed semi-heroes in 1907. It's all a jumble, and I suspect that it won't read better till the six parts are done. Which probably won't be till next year. Joss, we love you and all, but these delays are killing your work for Marvel.
