Not much to say, but it needs spoilers anyway.

Big ugly aquaitc aliens are invading Keystone City. And have captured Wally, leaving his kids to fend for themselves until he gets free and something cool.

The parts with Wally and Linda, or Wally and the family, are good. No one gets Wally like Waid does, and it's clear that Waid has adjusted his take on Wally to include all the things that happened since he left the book before. And the aliens are interesting, if not quite exciting. But the kids by themselves are, after two months, rather bland and poorly defined. Without Wally onscreen, my interest flagged fast. It's a good premise, doing a Flash and Kids comic, but there's no flavor yet. Compare this with how instantly Bart Allen was defined in his debut.

Also, artist daniel Acuna, while a good artist, is not the right artist for this series. Something that DC has quietly admitted in announcing that there will be a new artist on the book soon. He isn't good with capturing the out and out unreality of a man who runs really fast. He's better suited, I think, for something more down to Earth.

I honestly didn't like the art. I found it distracting, and I think I'd find it distracting no matter what.
