Good Morning All
Aug. 6th, 2007 05:33 amI leave the computer for a day, and wake up to find that you all posted more on a Sunday that I have seen in ages, about a variety of topics. Good reading, folken.
The wedding we were at was amazing. I often say I don't like weddings. That's not true. What I don't like is large crowds at weddings. Or being at a wedding were there is no one on the groom's side I know. (For those who don't know about religious Jewish weddings, the men and women dance seperately.) When I am at a small wedding with close friends, I have a ball. I was a groomsman as well, and I think I looked quite amazing in my tux. Pics to come, if I can get them.
ETA: There is a tradition that when the bride and groom enter the main hall during the reception for the first they come in to some sort of fanfare. There's been a lot of use of the opening of The Final Countdown as well. But when the happy couple was about to enter, the band played something very familiar. We all knew it, but it took a few seconds to place it...
It was the theme from Thundercats. And one we got it, it was hard not to all say "Thunder...thunder...Thundercats HO!!" I love my fannish friends.
