In a couple of hours we enter Yom Kippur, the most sacred day on the Jewish calendar, a day of solemn reflection and prayer and fasting. In the best of years, it's a hard day to handle. After what has been a rough year on a personal level (never mind the world at large), I think I will be more difficult than ever. But I hope that the chance to reflect will let me find my center and my faith.
If I have offended any of you this past year, if I have done you wrong, I ask your forgiveness and hope to make amends.
To those fasting, I wish a meaningful and easy fast and hopes that you be inscribed for a good year. To those not fasting, the cookies are on the shelf, help yourselves.
