What Day Is Today?

It's Tuesday. That's what the calendar says, right?

Only it's the first day of the work week and feels like a Monday.

Only there is a Jewish holiday on Thursday night - Shavuot - so my work week is a day shorter than usual, and that means it's really Wednesday.

This will be confusing, I am sure.

Your Next Supreme Court Justice is...

Sonia Sotomayor. She will be the third woman to serve in this role, and the first justice of Hispanic descent. She is also from New York.

Best of luck to her as she moves to one of the most difficult and demanding jobs there is.

PS: She's best known for ending the 1994-95 baseball strike. A decision I approved of, but not one of real lasting note.
