Space.com reports that NASA has both a name and a logo for missions to get men back to the Moon: Orion.

If that seems at all familiar, it's because there was a Project Orion fifty years ago. It was an Air Force project to study the possibilities of using A-bombs detonated behind spacecraft as a way to propel them to Mars and beyond. I gotta wonder if anyone at NASA thought about this.

Still, we can look forward to the Ares rockets launching the Orion missions to the Moon using the Crew Exploration Vessel (CEV). We might not have the equipment yet, or the funding, or any real vision, but we have names!
