Things will be short this week, but with spoilers...
52, Week Forty-Nine - The scretsof Oolong Isalnd are revealed, including China's hand in events, how the Metal Men work, and just what Doc Magnus can do off his meds. This brings to an end the Magnus-Morrow-Oolong Island plotline, and I will miss these wacky and weird characters. I also like the use of real world geopolitics here better than in previous efforts.
Three weeks to go, and still no sign of Booster or Skeets. But I am at least rady to declare 52 a success.
All-Star Superman - From the Underverse discovered by Dr. Qunitum come the strange Bizarros! What do they want? Who knows? While the characters - especially Jimmy - are spot-on, the story is a mess, and only part one or two. I will give Grant that second part to make things clear, but the weird outweighs the good this time around.
Fables 60 - Any doubts about this book's quality are gone again as "The Good Prince," featruing poor devastated Ambrose, kicks off. Things are brewing all over, with him and with Kay and Frau Tottenkinder and with Prince Charming and his staff and with pretty much everyone we see. This story promises to be wrenching, but it also promises to be really good.
