1. Heroes - As much as I love Hiro and Ando, their subplot is going nowhere of late. Three weeks of them getting into wacky adventures that seem besides the point is enough. Also, isn't it past time we got to meet Linderman? I enjoyed the Clare bits and the Parkman bits, but just when I was rady to say that Matt is not incompetent, he messes up again. It's good that someone here is an ordinary guy, but he's due some good breaks soon. Next week, shocking Sweeps month death!!

2. This is Milliways related, so it too gets a cut-tag. Been dealing with a couple of things related to Knox. Nothing huge, though quite interesting to me. And I've discovered that I have a tendency to relly overthink things. I kepe having to remind myself it's just a game. And I then get really nervous about both my play and how others view it and me. I know that I am not doing anything wrong or unusual, but I still get this way. I also know that I am far from the only player who does these two things, so I ask the Millifolken: any suggestions for mitigating this?

3. For an Milliways thread I am doing, I have provisionally made one of my pups (Knox) a Plus user of LJ. I have embraced the ads for the sake of the userpics. I never thought I'd do that. How utterly odd.

4. Finally caught up on VMars. And an wondering where the heck are Mac and Wallace? Why do we see more of Dick than Wallace and Mac combined? The show need them, badly.

5. The forecast for NYC? Snow. Really. But also sleet and freezing rain and ice. It won't be pleasant. But it will be the first real winter precip we've had. This has been a strange winter, with so much snow and ice in places that don't get it, and the lake effects snows in upstate NY and yet without my city getting much of it, even after it turend cold.

6. Fret not, winter-haters! Pitchers and catchers are reporting! Baseball season approaches! Spring is here! (OK, maybe not yet, but at least the long gap between Mets games is nearly over.)

Whenever you become really attached to a character, you have a tendency to overthink things. I know I still get to feeling wibbly and silly over nothing or perceived nothings. To mitigate, either get involved with specific plot (ie seeking out someone you get along with and want to play more with) or remind yourself you're not nuts. Making a post like this helps. :)

As for the icons, yeeeeah. It was a big move for me to get a paid account for Tom (back in the days when paid accounts were 15 icons). I thought I'd never need more than that. Now I can't imagine not having 100 icons. It is sad.

By the way, love Ingress-Gibbs. I am home sick and falling asleep a lot, so excuse my delay in answering.

I'll probably look you up tomorrow or tonight or sometime for pinging to discuss this more in-depth, but my simplest advice is to talk. It doesn't even have to be with someone involved with the character in question, or really even with Milliways (though having context makes conversations faster). Tell someone what you're worried about and why it's a worry and they'll at least be able to provide an initial check on you. Maybe what you're worrying about is obviously nothing, and in that case someone outside the situation can generally make that clear. The whole "too close to see it clearly" thing.

I've never noticed you doing anything wrong with Knox. Then again, I don't know his canon.

I sometimes think I play Guppy too often and that people get annoyed at the amount of stuff he does/gets into. But then again, I figure I've probably already created too much of a bad reputation with some players to really undo it, and I don't seem to get too much open negative criticism. Well from most people anyway.

So I don't think you're annoying anyone or have anything to worry about really. I always enjoy playing with you.

It's not so much what I do with Knox as what he does with me. :)

Otherwise, his version of canon is so tiny and so dimly recalled and so tied in to larger canons with versions of Batman that I really can do anything. (When Amy and I are done with the Valentine's Day OOM, check out the mix and match we are doing in the background.)
