Part one of two - Legion and Dr. Strange to come...
And fairly brief again.
52, Week Thirty-Eight - Renee's trek across the Himalayas with Charlie, the mad scientists create four horsemen, and Natasha tells her plans to her uncle. While there wasn't anything wrong with this issue, it rehashed a lot of what we already know about Renee instead of advancing much else. The bits with Magnus and his fellow madmen were chilling, and the scene with John, his allies and Natasha undercover was interesting.
Fables 57 - Bigby and family visit his father, with the wolf and the wind having a chat, while the cubs go on a hunt but face unexpected danger. This one was a bit off, no doubt in part to guest artist Mike Allred. It's not that the art by itself wasn't good. But the pacing was off, and the visuals for Bigby were wrong. That was enough to take me out of the moment. Still, this book is always a treat, even when off its game.
Connor Hawke: Dragon's Blood 3 - Action, violence, and very broad but very entertaining character play. In other words, what we expect and what we came for. Well, except for Shado kissing Connor. That's just icky. A good old-fashioned adventure comic otherwise.
