My husband read me that news story last night. I can't even explain what it is about the story that freaks me out so badly, but I just... that horrifies me. I guess I just am terrified at the thought a living being being 1)shot and wounded but alive, and then 2) STUCK IN A FRIDGE. And not having enough brains to understand what's going on, except to know that your leg and wings hurt a lot and it's really damn cold and dark.
I'm usually so tough. This story just gets to me though. I'm a freak.
I understand the sympathy for another critter suffering. Actually, my thought was "wow, suspended animation almost. I wonder if that refrigeration technique could be used on human beings? Could stretch the time between trauma and treatment."
