The DNC-Worldcon Connection?
Jan. 11th, 2007 12:53 pmRemember that in 2004, Boston was host to both the Democratic National Convention (DemCon?) and Worldcon?
Well, the Democrats have named Denver the site for DemCon 2008, beginning August 25. This will be just two weeks after Denvention, 2008's version of Worldcon.
I have to wonder why this is happening twice in a row. And what either Boston or Denver did to deserve such large influxes of "undesireables" in such short order. :)
(Aspen, do you have enough tea for everyone?)
ETA: As Bujold is the GoH, I think a large order of "Vorkosigan in '08" buttons are in order. Which one? Any one of that family would do nicely, I think.
