Where's Nightwing? And Doctor Strange? They'll be along, after I read them.
But first...
52, Week Thirty-One. In deep space, not even Captain Comet and two Green Lanterns can stop the onslaught of Lady Styx and herBorg army of zombies living dead followers. So of course, it's going to fall to Lobo and the Space Hero Three. In Metropolis, we learn all sorts of gross things about Infinity Inc's Everyman, most notably that he's not a nice guy. (We also learn that Natasha irons is a Jets fan, as she's waring a Lavernius Coles jersey.) Across town, Ralph Dibny - now sporting a hip flask - talks first with Wonder Girl and then with Supernova, leaving an envelope for Wonder Woman with the former and telling the latter that making Wonder Girl think he's Kon-El is cruel. Ralph, naturally, knows who Supernova is, but isn't telling us just yet.
Here's the thing. We've seen creepy all-powerful armies of darkness before. And the writers and aritsts make this work one more time. It's really creepy, really chilling. Do I give them points for making it work, or take away points for practically using the Borg Queen? Yes, and yes. The bits with Ralph were odd and a llittle confused, but seem to be pointing somewhere. And I am glad that Infinity Inc's downfall is being set up in bits and pieces.
A good issue, which is what I expect.
And Skeets? I think he's home watching Heroes and plotting ways to confuse Hiro.
Detective Comics 826 - The Joker has captured Robin, and is taking him on a nightmarish joyride through Gotham. How will our hero get out of this?
A simple story idea, hurt only by a flashback scene where Dick and Bruce look too much alike, and helped greatly by Dini's absolute skill at writing the Joker and increasing skill at writing the current Boy Wonder. Another great issue.
