Lynch; King and Spielberg

sdelmonte1. This is mainly for Sweeney, though I suspect she knows: David Lynch's Inland Empire opens in NYC today.
2. This is for the Stephen King fans: TNT has announed that that Steven Spielberg will produce a miniseries based on King and Peter Straub's The Talisman. It will be aired around summer 2008. This is the feature film project previously announced, now morphed into a form that I think is well suited to the sprawl and scope of the book. And while Spielberg's role will not be at the creative end, I've always wanted to see the two masters of 1980s suburbia team up and compare notes.
