This Week's Comics - 52, Nightwing
Nov. 1st, 2006 02:25 pmLet's get busy!
52, Week Twenty-six - Halfway home, not a missed deadline! That alone is a big deal.
Renee and Charlie part ways with the Black Adams, as Charlie introduces her to Tot Rodor and Richard Dragon, and begins the next step in her life. The Adams, meanwhile, are asked by the family of Dr. Sivana to find him (even though he's as much Black Adam's enemy as Captain Marvel's). While at the Sivanas, a bored Osiris makes a friend of Sivana's last experiment. Steel and Natasha debate Luthor's Everyman Project on Jack Ryder's show. And a woman scientist arrives on Oolong Island; chaos ensues.
But no Skeets.
This one was fairly light, but better than the last two. The Irons vs Irons debate was pretty good, and the arrival of Tot and Ricahrd Dragon promises much goodness. The Sivana family is endearingly wacky, if a total retcon. But the Black Adam family is getting dull.
Nightwing 126 - The mystery deepens, and Dick is ever more frustrated. Plus we meet his "Q", see him take on a possible new protege, and learn more about Raptor. Like last month, very Old School and in a good way. Fans of both Wolfman's work on NW and Dixon's run should like this. And word is that Marv is on the book to stay. We could do worse.
